Blue Eyes – Easy Horse Show Makeup
First here is a makeup video from a “Victoria’s Secret” makeup artist, Jenna Anton. She recreated the look from a Victoria’s Secret Fantasies campaign. The eye makeup here is very complimentary for blue eyes.
You could recreate this looking with makeup from Avon. Foundation brush (135-863); Ideal Flawless Color Corrector Cream in Deep (342-982); Ideal Flawless Color Corrector Cream in Medium (342-561); Concealer Brush (135-920); Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer (13 shades available); Crease Brush (135-146); Eye Dimensions EyeShadow in Bronze Star (141-569); Eyeliner Brush (134-977); True Color Matte EyeShadow Quad in Desert Sunset (387-180); OR to purchase just 1 Eyeshadow set — get the Mark On the Dot in Bold which has the gold and bronze as well as 7 other colors (040-359); SuperExtend Winged Out Mascara in Blackest Black (200-944); Glimmersticks LipLiner in Nude (774-224); Extra Lasting Lip Stain in Lively (036-417); Lip Brush (137-760); Ultra Color Lipstick in a Shimmer Color of Pink Dream (848-360). Check online at my E-store for these products.
Ok that last video is going to be hard to top, but here’s one from a brunette video blogger, Laura, who has a palette to make green eyes or blue/green eyes “pop”.
Recreating this look with Avon products: Foundation brush (135-863); Ideal Flawless Color Corrector Cream; Extra Lasting Cream to Powder Foundation; Concealer Brush (135-920); Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer (13 shades available); Avon Eyeshadow Primer – only 1 color beige (620-592); Eyeshadow Brush for Cream Eyeshadows (137-373); True Color Eye Shadow Duo in Candied Violet (038-788); Pro All Over Eyeshadow Brush (137-297); True Color Matte EyeShadow Quad in Desert Sunset (387-180) [use the gold & dark color]; Eyeliner Brush (134-977); Always On Point Eyeliner in Black Brown (776-538); Great Lash Clear Mascara — she uses on her brow — buy elsewhere; Glimmersticks Brow Definer; Brow Brush (136-324); SuperExtend Winged Out Mascara in Blackest Black (200-944).
Brown Eyes – More Intense Horse Show Makeup
The last, but certainly not least video is the longest. It is over 15 minutes in length, but it has a lot of good tips in it — like what to do if your eyelids have discolored areas and how to contour your makeup. >Mariela Quinta has a good tutorial here for ladies with brown eyes. In fact she shows you how to recreate Kylie Jenner’s makeup at the Golden Globe Awards. Don’t give up — she starts her tutorial at 2:50 in. Video courtesy of Bellashoot.
Recreating this look again with Avon products: Concealer Brush (135-920); Ideal Flawless Cream Concealer (13 shades available) (she is using concealer on her eyelids); She also uses many brushes – Crease Brush (135-146), Pro All Over Eyeshadow Brush (137-297), Eyeshadow Brush for Cream Eyeshadows (137-373), Eyeliner Brush (134-977), Contour Brush (547-058), Foundation brush (135-863).
The Avon makeup products to substitute in — True Color Matte Eyeshadow Quad in Tranquility (387-046) has the light color in it’s palette that is matte (that would work for setting the eyeshadow base and for the highlight); True Color Matte EyeShadow Quad in Desert Sunset (387-180) – the light color in this palette would correspond to the color she puts on over the “white/highlight” color; Mark on the Dot Neutral Eyeshadow palette (988-477) the middle color on the bottom row; then the darker color on the same palette the middle leftmost; use the yellow color from the Quad then apply the color on the right bottom of the Mark palette to darken the yellow slightly & to put some shimmer onto the matte yellow;
PLEASE NOTE She does not show how to apply the fake eyelashes or mascara (see this link for a review of Avon’s mascara and how to apply mascara); SuperExtend Winged Out Mascara in Blackest Black (200-944); Mark Faux Eyelashes (123-479) & adhesive (123-700); Makeup Primer – Magi X (254-616); Great Lash Clear Mascara — she uses another brand on her brow — buy elsewhere; Avon Eyeshadow Primer – only 1 color beige (620-592); Extra Lasting Cream to Powder Foundation (you could use multiple colors of this foundation to do your contouring); Mark Glowdacious Illuminating Powder in the appropriate colors for you); Ideal Flawless Pressed Powder in the color you like (to set your whole face) & buy the Kabuki Brush to apply it (137-445); Mark Touch & Glow Shimmer Cream Cubes in Pearly Glow (271-760) Use this for your various blush colors & extra highlighting she does around her eyes;
Finally try these Avon products for the lips – Glimmersticks LipLiner in Pink Cashmere (774-353); Ultra Glazewear Lip Gloss in Citrus Shine (314-543) or in Nude (318-037) if you prefer shimmer lips instead of sparkle lips.
Summary of Easy Horse Show Makeup Videos
I would love if you shared any pictures that you take of your horse shows & the makeups you have done based on these easy videos. Just send me a note ! And I will post them on another page.
For those of you who wonder of my qualifications and knowledge of horse shows. I started rodeoing when I was five, when I rode my first calf. When I was nine, I started taking formal classes in horse showing. I continued showing horses for many years thereafter; showing my horses and showing other people’s horses.
I also continued to rodeo, though I stopped riding rough stock when I was 16. While I rodeoed, I also participated in many Princess and Queen contests and ultimately won both titles in my local geographic area.
I still participate in the cowboy lifestyle, though illness has forced me to ultimately stop riding horses. If you live in the North Alabama area, I invite you to come visit our cowboy church, Lonesome Dove Cowboy Church.
Thanks for reading and I eagerly await those photos!
